A few days ago we went for our first dinghy ride of the year! It was sunny for a few hours, and we both needed a break, so the timing was perfect ...

My trusty skipper headed us across the upper harbour to watch the SALTS crew get ready for *their* first cruise of the year...

... and then we headed under the Johnson Street bridge to the inner harbour ... this merganzer kept us company most of the way ...

The movie set had moved to the parking lot at the Wharfside, but we didn't see any activity -- I read yesterday that they were shooting further up Government street. It was pretty sedate in the harbour...

I forgot to show you this photo from our meander around Oak Bay the other day.... I'd love to know what this orange hydro-foil-like thing is!

Meanwhile, I've knit about 3" on the
Peacock Shawlette so far, and it's lovely, and nearly finished the 'Fred socks' test knit. I'll work on those today -- Thursday spinning group! :-)
