It wasn't going to beat ME

The jacket was finally wrestled to the ground yesterday! Details: Schachenmayr Nomotta 'Pompon', a 35% wool blend made for Coats in Germany in the colorway 'Partie', I think. It's a tweedy boucle-type, medium blue with flecks of darker blue, purple and brown in it. I love it, and I already wore it for my first trip down to Clover Point for a little sock-knitting/storm-watching yesterday afternoon.

It appears we have a new local pilot boat ... I'll have to see what I can find out about it:

And, yes, I have a spinning wheel! Good of my camera battery to die just when I wanted to take a picture of it, so tune in later for that... but it's teak, I think, a table-top ELECTRIC model with 3 extra bobbins (that doesn't look anything like my idea of a spinning wheel, but it's beautiful)! And she gave me two drop spindles, too! This woman's husband made it, she thinks about 45 years ago, and she used it for maybe ten years, but it's been in her closet since. I have GOT to do a grocery shopping today, and I have a writing deadline for tomorrow, but then I'll be digging out some roving I've had for a year, and playing! THANK YOU ESTHER, for leading me to this gift!

I'll leave you with this last holiday picture, which I somehow missed earlier... it's the sun coming up at Sidney Spit.

Congratulations on your jacket! I love the color.

Forgive me, but my (instinctive) first thought was "it won't show cat hair". VBG!
