SPINNING WHEEL!

Have you ever seen anything like it? Me neither, but it's a beauty, I can tell you that! I did find some roving on board this afternoon and tried to remember how to spin it, but wasn't successful. I'll get there, though!

The machine is a table-top model with a foot pedal like a sewing machine, and it's about 18" wide x 16" deep x 12" high. I'm pretty sure it's teak, which I love...

Meanwhile, I was 'tagged' by The Nautical Knitter to do this particular 'meme', so my next post will be seven "random and/or weird things about me."

Today I'm working on a test-knit sweater, and a pair of plain black wool socks. After I finish the writing project, that is!

Gorgeous 'tool' - I've never seen one in action so maybe you will give a demo when you get it up and running or whatever the term is - up and spinning....?

Gorgeous.

I think the flyer assembly is made on Salt Spring, I've seen several like that around here hiding in basements and the like. I haven't seen that kind of electric set up before, it looks great. Let us know how it goes.
