A NEIGHBORHOOD WALK

Yesterday was DAY ONE of Michael's current attempt to quit smoking, so we decided to go for a long walk, something we haven't done since we got here -- no time in the summer, and then I had that little issue with my feet :) -- and it was lovely! We found this little footpath through a field just about two blocks away...
... and this home-built bench was on a boulevard nearby:
... and these adorable creatures adorned someone's driveway post:
... and this adorable creature made it through the day without smoking...
... and without even being grumpy!

More of the sights we saw... someone's gate:
... and several of these interesting-looking shrubs:
... and finally, winding our way back home up the hill from the harbor ...
Wish him well, it's not the first time he's tried, but we sure hope it's the last!(And by the way, I walked non-stop for a full hour, in my running shoes, and my feet were just starting to hurt a bit when we were coming back down our driveway to the marina --yay!)

Yeah!!! one less smoker in the world, this is indeed a good move. So much to live for (smoking is like throwing your life away). Yeah!, for will power!!!
I am now going on five years since I gave up the nasty habit!
